Do Ric use ABS now or are they still using celluloid?

Re: White Celluloid binding in UK...Help!
Hi folks, not been in for a while, and still my search for white celluloid has proved to be fruitless!!!
Therefore, I have decided to bite the bullet and use ABS instead.
To recap, I've already applied celluloid checkerboard binding, so my question is: what's the best way to glue the ABS to the ...

Re: White Celluloid binding in UK...Help!
Hi Jeffrey, I'm not sure what they use as standard on new build instruments, but as I'm using celluloid checkerboard, I'd prefer to stick to the same material if possible for the outer binding...the annoying thing is that I could buy a ton of the stuff from China, but it would literally have to be a ...

White Celluloid binding in UK...Help!
I'm having major hassle getting hold of white celluloid binding here in the UK. I need some for my 360 resto project, but seem to be drawing a blank. I obtained my checkerboard from Shellex in Germany, but the other binding they sell is ivory not white, also it's only 6mm high, needs to be 7mm ...

Re: Hello...Newbie with a 360 Resto project!!
If only the previous owner of this guitar had thought about using double sided tape, it'd have saved me a heap of trouble, but never mind...
Acquired a mint plexi TRC today to replace the original raised letter TRC...a good day's work in itself!!

Re: Hello...Newbie with a 360 Resto project!!
Thanks Dom! The holes have been put there by the previous owner who installed a Roland Midi pickup to the guitar (I know, unbelievable eh?)...I'm going to have to plug them with maple... fortunately, I have a lump of maple that is exactly the right shade, I don't want to have the plugs too big ...

Re: Hello...Newbie with a 360 Resto project!!
Hi guys, made a bit of progress this week...had to make up some cement with acetone and celluloid scraps (white Fender picks!!), and I've managed to get the checkerboard fixed to the body. Just waiting for a consignment of white celluloid binding to arrive, then I can finish off the body!
