So, I've got the Rathenbacker on the guitar rack backstage last night at the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana and a guy who works there yells "who's Ric?" I come forward and the guy tells me he builds necks at Ric for his day job and what a ...

I actually think it's easier to load-in/out my SVT 810 then my Eden 410. With the Eden I must lift ~100Lbs. in/out of the vehicle. Twice, for 2 of them. While with the SVT 810 I can roll it up, tilt it over lift it from the bottom and slide it in.

The 410 does provide the opportunity to pile a ...

No reason to fret (bah ha ha) on the lack of availability of Ric-O-Sound boxes. I just use a TRS cable and a "splitter" which has a locking TRS female connector on one end that Ys out to two TS males on 3' of wire. That provides enough run to connect between 2 heads and I can use any length of TRS ...

You might also consider an SVT-II (non-Pro). Same power amp section as an SVT with a slightly different pre. Sounds much like a vintage SVT and can be had for ~$900. They're from the mid-late 80's and are generally in better condition then most early 70's SVTs.

The SVT-II (or SVT-300 power-amp ...

MSRP is $2799. Weight on the order of 80LBs. Same as an original. The weight comes from the 3 transformers.

I did . . . a lot in the late 70's/early 80's. That one and a Koa Mockingbird. Unfortunately, the neck broke on the 'bird. One of these days I'm going to break out the Bich and use it at Church.

I had Butch at Bayou Cables http://www.bayoucables.com/ make me a very nice Ric-O-Sound cable. 2 mono plugs Y'd to a female TRS (locking). Then I just use a TRS cable from the Ric. Same net result without the box.

Disclaimer: No affiliation with Bayou cables. I just like his work, quality and ...
