It's a 2007 MID formula. Here's a better picture of the finish. I think it's a much nicer blue than the brighter MIDs before it. (It's not one of my guitars though. Image)

Electronics in Acoustics

Can anyone (Paul et al) let me know what electronics are in Rickenbacker acoustics or indeed what they would recommend for other acoustics? I appreciate a good valve mic, nicely compressed, and a quiet acoustically-treated room would be the best answer, but I'm thinking more about live work. Any ide...

Paul, I couldn't agree with you more and I know a man of your unparalleled craftsmanship would produce an outstanding baritone. Dane, thanks for your comments. It's difficult to say if it would be 'more than its worth' since I don't know what it would cost yet. Although I'm not a luthier by any means, I would think that moving the bridge, building supports, moving the pickups, replacing the fingerboard, changing the pickguar...
