Re: In search of better lead sustain

I just reposted in forum 51, as suggested. I am really happy with the set up I got. im in a 3 piece band where i am the only singer and guitar. i want to kerp things as simple as possiable. I was kind of wondering if a pedal would maybe sort it out. I may seek out the chili pedal suggested. The dowl...

Need better lead sustain

I also posted this on the modern guitar forum and it was suggested I post it here. I am very happy with my gear set up with my band, but I feel the only spot it's missing a bit is when I do a lead that would require some sustain. I'm using guitar: a Rickenbacer 330 w/Higains. Amp: laney vc30. I've t...

In search of better lead sustain

I hope I'm posting this in the right spot... I am very happy with my gear set up with my band, but I feel the only spot it's missing a bit is when I do a lead that would require some sustain. I'm using guitar: a Rickenbacer 330 w/Higains. Amp: laney vc30. I've tried a Boss cs2 but I think it sucks a...

Re: Going to L.A.

Graham,
You are right it is always nice to get the local perspective. Last time I was in London we met up with a member of the Britbike forum and had a great time and made a new friend as well.

Re: Going to L.A.

Thanks for all the info. Anybody been to Fender factory? Is it worth going? Really wish Ric did the tour. Heritage is really small (old Gibson factory) in Kalamazoo but they have/had a really nice free tour. Very friendly staff.

Going to L.A.

My girlfriend and I are going to L.A. at the end of the month. I have never been, and was wondering if there are any Rickenbacker related things to do/see(?). Am I right there is no Rickenbacker tour...? I thought about going out to corona to see the other guys  Anybody ever been? or have any ...

Re: reissue ?'s

I am very new here and I have done a few searches, but I didn't realize this topic was such "old hat", or beating a dead horse... so for that I apologize. I also know that Mr Hall must have plenty of money, or at least more than I do, and its not all about the "business" other th...

Re: reissue ?'s

I do want a rose Morris reissue! I even posted in the wanted section, I'm working on it :) but they could even put a f hole on a regular 24 fret guitar. Program the Cnc to cut every 5th guitar with a f hole (or something like that). Or a 21fret guitar with hi gains...something like that?? Just give ...

If enough people want these things maybe they will listen to the public.

Re: reissue ?'s

I meant to post, 21 frets, and OR f hole. Just an f and nothing else would seem IMO easy. They already/still make 21fret necks. The 22,23,and 24th fret are almost superfluous on a 330 style guitar.

Re: reissue ?'s

I must admit, I've never programmed a Cnc machine. I'm not a high volume builder and I'm certainly not in charge of ric. Just some fun food for thought. People build Cnc with a computer, router, printer components. It's not NASA

Re: reissue ?'s

Not my fantasy, I just thought it was a good idea to offer more choice to the public. Ric doesn't make any money off of used guitars. I've heard ( I could be wrong) the reason they don't do more vintage reissues is because of capacity/set up time etc... What I'm suggesting is kill 3 frets, or progra...

Re: reissue ?'s

Really though why not? They already have everything. Selling more units makes far more than selling a few higher priced ones. They could do "full vintage spec" for the purists and charge more for those.
