Re: Any Fretless Ric 4080 or Bass Manufactured, Want to Listen
Yes, Mike Parks aka The Rickenbacker Page aka the-music-connection.com had a 4080/12 MG that was factory special ordered with a fretless bass neck but then changed to have frets.

Re: Rickenbacker.com has been offline recently
It is good to see the site back, and looking good. However, I was surprised that the 620/12 has been dropped from production. Had that happened earlier, and I'd just missed the memo? On a positive note, the pics on the site for the 4005V show they're using the checkerboard binding on the back. Yumm...

Re: Doubling Pedal for a 12 String
What makes doubling so enjoyable to hear is actually the imperfection of it. There is no way a human can literally play something exactly the same twice. The best experienced studio players can get close, but it's still not 100%. I kind of lost interest in pedals just before the boutique thing start...

I recently noticed some old pictures didn't appear on mobile Chrome, but do appear in desktop Safari.
FWIW.

Re: Who uses the damper?
I love using it on my 2020 4003S Plumglo. Sounds as close as possible to an upright. I was playing bass for a local country artist for a little while and used it on a couple of songs.

Re: Rickenbacker 370WB wiring?
Your specific problem sounds like maybe someone swapped the two jacks, because plugging a cable into the ROS jack usually results in getting just the treble pickup, and only when the switch is either in the middle or down position, since there is nothing transferring the bass pickup's signal.

Re: Rickenbacker 370WB wiring?
The RIC site is under construction at the moment for an overhaul apparently, but the internet wayback machine will get you to a recent version of the manual, which explains as follows: Most Rickenbacker six and twelve string guitars come with separate volume and tone control knobs for the bass and t...

I haven't watched it yet, but I wonder if that's one of the 1990 RM overruns - 370/12SPC.

Re: Looking to buy back my first Rick purchased in 1990 lost in 2004
I would try the Rickenbacker basses section on this site. But overall site traffic here pales in comparison, sadly, to the many facebook groups dedicated to Rickenbackers. That's where you'll reach the most people. Good luck with the search!

Re: Rick 330 Bridge PU Bass Response
You might want to try the original pickups with better matched pot values. A member here "aceonbass" aka Dane Wilder does harnesses that are great for Ricks.
