Probably any early REM tune. Off the top of my head, FLowers of Guatemala. Also most of the stuff from Rush's "Golden Age." IE Exit Stage Left era. Byrds and Beats go without saying, obviously. COme to think of it, that would be a cool name for a rick-based band: "The Birds and the Be...

Doh. Logistic issues. I thought my school (where I teach) was in Fall Break the following week, but we're not, so I'd be pushing it to blow off the whole weekend :/

660/12, unless you have smaller hands.

My 330 has some nice flaming. It's completely symmetrical too. very pretty.

Unfortunately, it's on the BACK side of the guitar - the front is fairly plain.

That one. . . surprising it didn;t become a 381. Wonderful.

Anybody know how close Winchester is to CHarlottesville, VA? I could conceivably make a weekend of it by hitting the RIckenfest on Saturday and then see friends elsewhere in the state. . .

Recent Mitch Easter Spotting

His wife's band Shalini played this past weekend in town. Unfortunately I had another engagement so I couldn;t go, but I did see a picture of Mitch in the local paper's coverage of the show (A Charity for the hurricane relief efort). Anyway, the Mitch was sporting a mapleglo 660. I couldn;t tell whe...

There's only one solution to the dilemma.

Buy both!

Failing that, go with the Turquoise 360 - sounds like you will be happier in the long run.

I love black 'n' blue too.

1. I've had good luck with POTR. 2. I believe it's worth it. But there was a huge discussion of this some months ago. The stance of RIC is that, IF you get a high-quality, machine-made string, you should not have intonation problems with the 6-saddle. 3. Personal taste. Cosmetically, toasters rock. ...

Great site - a definite improvement. The factory tour both informs and entertains. Now I want an accoustic! Edit - I have to say the "See which dealers have this model ordered" function is SWEET. What is the time range for which a dealer would show up on such a page, if that makes any sense?

All of the above (except for SK and SK) are why I became a huge REM fan in the eighties. About the only commercial "arena" band from that era that I can stomach is Rush. Coincidence? Methinks not.

Somebody mentioned wah's in conjunction with the Vox tonelab. I have a tonelab SE, and the Wah sounds great - with a guitar. The transitions are smooth, but you can definitely highlight certain harmonics and get some fun spacey textures, especially with some dirt. Sounded great with a 12 string, act...

Was it EKU? That's an Austrian brew (Almost wrote Austr*al*ian hehe!) I believe wheat beers are an acquired taste. The ones produced in the States aren't usually the real deal - they taste like a fancy lager, and don;t have that indefinable zing that a good wheat does. Speaking of guitars, I recentl...

Jay, thanks for the tip.

And, yes, I had totally envisioned Carrie as being a lot taller than she is ;)
