All of the above (except for SK and SK) are why I became a huge REM fan in the eighties. About the only commercial "arena" band from that era that I can stomach is Rush. Coincidence? Methinks not.

Somebody mentioned wah's in conjunction with the Vox tonelab. I have a tonelab SE, and the Wah sounds great - with a guitar. The transitions are smooth, but you can definitely highlight certain harmonics and get some fun spacey textures, especially with some dirt. Sounded great with a 12 string ...

I believe wheat beers are an acquired taste. The ones produced in the States aren't usually the real deal - they taste like a fancy lager, and don;t have that indefinable zing that a good wheat does.
