Re: 4003S/5

A 4003S/5 is going to be my next purchase. I hope not showing this model on the new Rickenbacker website is just an oversight I don't know about that. The 4003S/5 is listed as a legacy model between the 4004Cii/5 and the 4003FL. Then again, we never thought the 4005 would return. I'm sure you could...

It's not on the new website as an available model. I'm glad I one.

Re: 4005 Gig bag or case

That's good info for anyone else needing one. 8) Here's a screen shot for posterity ... rr_gigbass_scshot.jpg I have one of these deluxe Roadrunner gig bags. It's one of the most protective gig bags available. It's similar to the new Gator ICON series. It has lots of room to hold accessories. It ha...

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric

There are people who could set you up with a Sunn rig. :D The only sunn (o))) gear I have owned was a second version Concert Bass amp that I had in my first Top 40/Disscho® band in '77-'78, and a 1969 Sorado cab that I put Eminence Deltas in (I traded that to Chris Pappas in 2005 as parti...

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric

I assume that you're playing through the Vox, but is that a Sunn stack I see behind you? I hope it's Joey who own the sunn (o))) I'm playing through my pseudo-Vox rig. I wish the Sunn o)) head was mine, especially since it would be perfect in a Jimi Hendrix Experience tribute band as that's the bra...

Re: Will the new Shaller S locks fit stock 4003 buttons?

For many years, I've used the Schaller strap locks that have been available, Though had been interested in the S locks. I'm always looking for ways to save time and make things easier when getting on and off a stage at gigs. so recently changed how I secure my straps for gigs. You can't keep a strap...

It looks like an early 4003 truss rods that adjusts at the body end. It's been a very long time since I've looked under the hood of one of those. One spacer for each rod? I forgot about that.

Re: '83 4003 Truss Rod Spacer

I'm not sure if a new one from RIC would fit correctly. If you could measure the size you need, you could have one made.
I hope you're going to give that 4003 a lot of love. It looks like it needs it. Then it will reward you back.

Re: Which 4001 would be available in Germany in 1965-69?

Rose-Morris was the UK distributor. They may have arranged for some to get to Germany.
Europeans might have gone to England to buy them.

That's the spreadsheet I was referring to in my previous post. I think John Allgaier made that Excel sheet.

Re: Searching for '76 Jetglo 4001 s/n PL7996

I tried looking in the registry. It's in there, but mostly likely a recent addition made by you. You never know, many people look in here. I saw your post on the RRF Facebook page as well. Good luck.
