Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric

Hey guys, I somehow lost my way from this sight. I spent a couple of years battling the big C, but have left it behind. So yeah, I'm glad I stumbled back on this place. Haven't been on stage as much this year as we have in the past, so we're working up new (old) stuff.

I have a re-issue horseshoe in mine and it is every bit as loud as my 4003. The tonal range may be somewhat limited compared to a 4001 or 4003, but I don't feel that I'm missing anything. I get plenty of bottom out of it.

My '73 4001FG was in my son's car when the car was stolen. Gone but not forgotten. Marc is right about this forum. The registration is great in that it has a time stamp when they were registered. I put a locking knob and deadbolt on the closet I keep the ricks in - and hang the cheap basses on the w...

Go with Jeffrey on this one and get the real deal. I have an A/P bridge on my '68 4000 and the thing is rising, even with 5 screws in it. I do have the original cast tailpiece with the split in it, it just needs a bridge and those are thinner than the ones from the 70's thru current. One day I'll ge...

I just took my 4000 to his house and he measured it up there... of course, it helps to live in the same town he does Image

He's a great guy who does great work.

Yes Kris, I never got to give my ticket over either (don't know what happened to it though). It was a crushing experience indeed.

Wow, what a wakeup call. I'm going in Tuesday for a complete physical. I never look forward to those, but after news like this, I put up with the prodding and poking so I can hope to have just a little more time with the family and of course STAGE TIME. Some times all the precautionary measures cann...
