Good Lord, that sounds like fun..!

Hey, Don; any chance my wife and I could crash at your place if we can get there..?? (We're really neat & clean...) It's unfortunately (for us) not likely though, as we live in South Florida, and it's a lo-o-ng way to go...

Maybe someday, though, as my wife ...

Just my two cents' worth, as an old buzz-hunter... You mention:

"- not an electronic buzz but, I gather, fret buzz ... like the strings are hitting the next fret up the fretboard -"

I know Mark mentioned it earlier, but have you thoroughly checked your neck relief? "Strings hitting the next ...

I first wanted a Rick when I saw John and then George with those two beautiful guitars back in 1964, when I was 12 (wait; don't do the math yet...)

On Dec. 12, 1998, I married my lovely wife... and on Christmas Day of that year she surprised me with a combination Wedding/Christmas present: a new ...

Hey Mark, you know I've got that Gibson ES-335 (the one I bought new in '68... remember? The one Justin Hayward wanted to borrow?) Anyway, it IS a great instrument; it was my only electric axe for all the years I gigged. Still a beauty, but it could probably use a refret. Maybe we should talk about ...

Fireglo has color - yet you can still see wood grain within. And as said previously, each individual guitar has a unique "DNA"...

Sunburst is a satisfying look on so many guitars - but Fireglo is one of the few where, instead of being bordered in black or dark brown, it's a rich, glorious ...

Hi Jeff,

I use a Mac, too (great minds think alike -?), and I'm also using Explorer; but I must be missing something...

"Download image to disk" simply gives me a still image; looks like one of the frames of the animation, but that's all - just one still. (I experimented by trying to grab one ...

Hey Jeff, how do you transfer those animated gifs? All I can do is seem to grab a "still" on this type of thing; I can't ever get the animated gif sequence... Thanks! --Gene

Corey makes some great points! So many people ("them", as well as "us") pigeonhole Ricks into narrow sonic categories, and that's simply not the case.

A while back I did some meticulous bridge setup work on our "gently pre-owned" 325v59 (as I talked about in another thread, there was a stiff ...

Jeff; I checked out "You Could Be Good For Me"... Great guitar sounds! Nice hook in the song, too (I'm still hearing it in my head...) Some nice lead tones on the solo - is that the Les Paul we see in the picture? Definitely some classic Rick jangle out of the 360/12! Good job, and good luck with ...

Yes, I agree. Many of the "guitar mags" are running tributes to George, but I thought this one in Guitar Player was the nicest I've seen.

John, I honestly know nothing for real about this, so I'm just spouting off about an old rumour... but anyway, way back when, the rumour was that it was really Pete Townshend in cognito, singing "Something In The Air". Probably not true, but it sure did/does sound like him...

Also, there was the ...

Isn't it a sad comment on "today's" music scene that there's so very little that's as fascinating as the questions that have been posed here? And it's not just because we (some of us!) are older, looking back... It's really that the pop and rock music of the time was better. Was that John singing ...
