Re: 360 12 Stringing tips

AmI the only one that worries about the way the higher octave strings that have to reach to the "recessed" in-the-headstock tuners, break over the edge of the headstock? Is this why there is the plastic "cover" on the headstock?

Re: Surprise NGD and some noob questions.

Here is the one I found in another thread:
http://boutique.rickenbacker.com/NUT-STD-12-STRING_p_568.html

Looks like it is already slotted, or is that just for display, or do they all need tweaking after installation?

No, I don't have a set of files. I can do most any electronic work on my ...

Re: Surprise NGD and some noob questions.

I practiced with the new girl all week, but in the end took my strat to play in church Sunday. Couldn't even make a clean open C chord, first finger would buzz on the high G string. I really think I want to order a new nut with the pairs closer together. If I get the "official" one (Rickenbacker ...

Re: Surprise NGD and some noob questions.

Thank you all for the welcomes and advice.

I spent some time bonding with the new girl last night. (Still with the old strings however, gonna try to go out at lunch today to see if I can find any TI's local while the LaBellas are on the way). I ran through a Yamaha Magic Stomp set up to emulate a ...

Re: Surprise NGD and some noob questions.

Thanks for the welcomes. Always excited to explore a new addiction.

I have LaBella flats on order. I did see several mentions of them in other threads.

I did play through my Blues Jr the other night, but between the dead (and really dirty) strings, and the BJr maybe not being the best fit, couldn ...

Surprise NGD and some noob questions.

Hello All, first Ric, new member, first post,

I received a very generous gift from a friend, a 1998 Fireglo 360 12v64. It had not been out of the case in ten years, and the owner decided to pass it on to someone who would use it. I was utterly flabbergasted and embarrassed at such a gift, but here ...
