It's not that complex.
You really think someone is going to take your tailpiece off the guitar and steal it to the point that you will remove it and the strings?
I routinely carry an electric or an acoustic on US flights. (Martin, Les Paul, Strat etc)
I bring it to the gate, and if the flight is ...

I am a hobbyist, so go easy on me, but I think this shows off the Ric 12 as both a cool rhythm guitar and lead.

Re: 360/12 With Janglebox
I resisted buying one after I got my 360 12. Tried all my outboard compression in the studio, combined with eq etc., etc etc.
Well, I bit the bullet and bought one, and it is simply a great piece of equipment.
In a moment, I can get that iconic Byrds/Beatles/ T Petty 360 12 sound. Its also great ...

Re: I Tried Zymol To Wax The Ric
I recently became a convert to Virtuoso Guitar Cleaner Polish and it has been the best stuff I have ever used on my guitars.
I recently acquired a Ric 360 12.
Does anyone know if Virtuoso IS NOT a good choice for a Ric's Finnish?

Hey Steven,
That is one of my all-time favorite songs. I think you did an admirable job on a really great rocker.
You know, Brian Henneman is a new member to the RRF.
Maybe he can give it a listen and you can get some feedback from the master. Some recent threads:

Hi Brian,
I have enjoyed your songs and the bands playing for many years now. When my boys were like 7 years old Kit Cat Clock was our anthem for summer camping. (dont know why, just was!)

Song with my new Ric 360 12
Hi.
I just did my first recording with my new to me Ric 360 12.
Its a song written by Brian Henneman of the Bottle Rockets called Gravity Fails.
I wasnt going for a Beatly/Bryds sound, wanted a more modern but still familiar Ric tone.
I am still not 100% happy with the mix, so if you have ...

Re: Something Different - Bottle Rockets Ric Action
I am in the midst of recording a version of Gravity Fails in my home studio. (love the song, great lyrics!)
I am using my Les Paul, my Ric 360/12 and Martin HD-28 for rhythm guitar tracks. I am driving the Ric pretty hard, so its not a McGuinn clean jangle sound, but you know its a Ric and it ...

Re: Another 12 string switch to Thomastiks
Hey Donnell,
I just strung up my 360 12 with TI's . I think they sound great and different than the Ric strings, although those also sound great, with a more modern flavor.
I noted that you have to be careful where you choose to make a bend in the wound strings. Once you commit, you are committed ...

Re: 360 12 Stringing tips
The whole thing takes me about 15 minutes.
As someone else suggested, please show how you do this? Really, 15 minutes? I challenge you to prove it. I'll but a pack of Ric strings. You go over 15, you reimburse me.
No question I have the failing vision of a 55 year old, and never had the fine ...

Re: 360 12 Stringing tips
Well, I just put on the new set of TI flats on my 360 12. I believe I took off Rick ground rounds or whatever they call them. I wouldn't say that it sounds "brighter", but there seems to be more harmonics present with the TI's. Sounds like the lower octave strings are more present and distinctive in ...
