you did a great job on that man. It didn't appear to be salvageable, but you pulled it off!

Re: The W Series

I love this series. I'm tempted by the 4003. It looks so good in Walnut and I love the maple board.

Re: 1955 model 600

Yea I love that design. Nelson does a really good version of the combo 600. It wasn't trademarked? I wondered how Nelson managed to build them without getting in trouble. I think he calls his the "attache"

Re: What drew you to Rickenbacker?

I have always loved the style and sound of Rickenbackers, however where I live you never see them. I have only played two or three 4003 basses, a 620 and a vintage 360. This was spread out over 20 years of playing. My uncle has a 4003 mapleglo and my buddy in Montreal has a 620. Locally, I don't ...

Re: NGD - 1992 330 Jetglo

They are all beautiful. I love Jetglo. Black suits Rickenbackers more so than any other guitar make IMHO.
I really love the blue one as well. That is vintage? So it must be the azureglo colour? Is it non metallic?

Re: Peter Buck gear

360s look so good in jetglo. Like a tuxedo.
Fretboard grain jumps out more with the lacquer on it, but I imagine it's a little quicker to navigate the board without the lacquer. Then again, maple board teles have lacquer on them, and they play fine.

Funny thing.. I decided to get a 330 instead. If I love it, I'll get the 620 next.
Thanks for the responses! Friendly bunch around these parts. Rare on guitar forums.....

Re: Whats the best looking Ricky?

For me it will always be the 620/660 and the 4003 bass.
I like 330s, but I have been slow to warm up to the 360.

Re: Opinions needed: 620 vs 660: which is more versatile?

Thanks for the replies. I am definitely leaning towards the 620. It will be my first ric guitar, so I'm better off price wise. If it turns out to be as good as I'm hoping, I can splurge out the cash for my next one. I've at least played a 620 a few times in the past, so it won't be too foreign to me ...

Re: Opinions needed: 620 vs 660: which is more versatile?

I hadn't seen the Greg Koch 660 demos. That guy is a madman. Definitely helps with the decision. There are a couple of decent demos of a german guy playing 620s, so that helps too. Not a lot of demos on the Tube.
Thanks for the responses. Keep em coming!

Opinions needed: 620 vs 660: which is more versatile?

Hello folks,
I'm new to these forums. Name is J. I'm about to order my first Rickenbacker guitar (have owned a vintage 4001 bass in the past) and have decided on the 600 series shape. Problem is, I can't decide between the 620/6 and 660/6. The big difference being price, and I don't mind the ...
