Re: So, no more 4004?

That's too bad. Had checked this pricelist last week, but didn't even notice the 4004 was no longer listed. Although I already have a few 4004s, I still have a trans green on my wishlist.

Re: I am surprised at the strict Ric warranty stringset term

Agree. I've used a LaBella 760FS set for while on my '93 4001V63 MG, which is built like a tank. Knowing the LaBella set might be too heavy for it, I gave it a try, but I've closely monitored (measured) if no positive neckangle would develop, and it did... although it sounded fabulous (big LaBella-'...

That's correct - have them in stock (Optima dealer). The best flats I've used on a Rickenbacker so far. Exactly the sound and (comfortable) feel I had in mind.

What a great idea! There is a 4001C64 in Fireglo for sale on Talkbass right now in the classified section for a reasonable price.

Re: Need wiring harness for P-J bass project

I build a lot of Fender-like basses and I think I have this wiring scheme in PDF on my harddrive, so I can email it to you. I'll check tomorrow. V/T/blend works very well on a PJ bass, I use it a lot.

I use this LaBella 760FS set on a '05 4003. Had to adjust trussrods a bit, but no problems with taillift (so far!).

Thanks, and noticed those. Color is more as faded / yellowed BB with more green in it.

Cool, so you ended up buying this one. I would restore it to a 4000, no doubt.

Thanks for the warm welcome! @ Paul: thanks, I stand corrected, edited it. The odd thing is...I saved a picture of the controlcavity which seems to state Ruby, but ofcourse the finish was Burgundy: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c305/Jazzboer/Rickenbacker/130620102033.jpg Btw: Santa recently sent...

New on RRF: short introduction

Have been lurking on RRF for a while, but thought would be nice to introduce myself a bit. Don't know if this the right subforum, but as a bassplayer this subforum feels good.
