Re: capri unknown history

I'm still amazed today to hear people finding forgotten stuff in their atttics or closets. I wish I would have stored my my old 66 360 in a closet at the time instead of selling it because I had too many guitars!!! My only regret!! Well Billy, I hope you'll enjoy playing on your beautiful Capri!

In my part of the country, it's easier to call it a Ricken ! I guess it's fitting more the french way of speaking. And if I'm writing here, well I use Ric or Rick... But then the latter reminds me too much of my brother in law!!! Image

Ric guitar strap

I was looking everywhere in the music stores here in Québec city, then in Montréal and then in Ottawa to find a Ric strap to no avail! So I ordered it from Rickenbacker. And I gladly received it yesterday to find out that... they were made in Canada!!! A twist of irony perhaps! LOL http://archives ...

Fair enough to me, Mr. Hall. From now on I'll call it a Frisco! http://archives.rickresource.com/clipart/happy.gif
Paul, I don't think you understood what I meant, so I will try to take a picture to show you what I'm talking about. My vocabulary is limited since I'm french and I don't always ...

Questions on my 650... Frisco or Excalibur?

I have a 1992 650 in african vermillion. I bought it advertized as an Excalibur but only saw it later called a Frisco.
And there's 2 other things that are different from the models I have seen on pictures:
1. I only have one truss rod instead of two!?
2. The part where the neck attaches to the ...

I sure would like to try that 480 of yours,Peter! But for the blues, if I compare my 330 and 360 to my 650S, I must say that the 650 beats them for the sound and for the neck action.
You should agree too after trying it in Tadoussac!!! Image

Hey Peter...I did not forget and it will happen. I'm now a new resident in Québec city ( was transfered in september). So I'm getting closer and closer to Fredericton... you never know when this frenchman will show up! Besides the Rics that I will bring, I'll pack the brand new Hofner my wife gave ...
