Re: "New, improved" Rotosounds?

GHS blue steels sound quite a bit like Rotosounds without the issues. I used rotos for years but went to the blue steels to reduce the tension a little on the rm1999....

Re: 4001 Basses - Case Queens Or Gigging Beasts?

My 64 rm1999 still gets out from time to time, in fact it is my only four string bass now... (Unless you include my ashbory and upright bass)

Does this preserve the half inch spacing of the neck pickup?
Yes it will, it fills the hole and then only removes enough timber to fit the pickup and no more..

Re: The 4003S is back!!!

All it needs now is a vintage pickup option, but truth be known I'd be just as happy with the hi-gains if they just had a few less windings..

Anyway this is great news, even better than a RM reissue!

Re: 650 with 3 pickups?

Well, on a tremolo model with coil taps it would be sort of a Rickensuperstrat...

Re: Happy birthday, Eden (weemac)!

Thanks all!
I've not been able to log on to the forum for some odd reason and it has just let me back in today.
I've not been playing much as I've been busy with a career change (the first change in 27 years)

Rick on!

Re: They're Here!!! They're Here!!!!

Good stuff! You may find the necks need just a touch up or down in the next few months as they adjust to different temps and moisture..
But that's kind of normal...

I bet you are having fun!
