Re: Just picked this up.
Thanks. I got your book. Great book. It is mint. Plays amazing. Something about the growl of a set neck. I’ve owned quite a few Ricks. Neck thru. These def sound different

Re: RickoSound jack
yeah the only pickup that worked was the bridge. and the toggle switch has no effect. It just seem the pickup when plug in this was was louder and fulller. Almost like the cap was bypassed.

RickoSound jack
Hey Question,
I plugged my cord into the RickoSound Jack and noticed the Treble Pickup was much fuller and Louder. Is that they it is on all Ricks? I know the Rick O Sound jack is used with the special Y cable for Dual amps. I just found it curious that when I plugged in my normal cable the treble ...

Re: My new Rick
This one did not start its life out this color. It was originally White with black binding and had yellowed. But not in a nice even good looking way. So it has been refinished and refretted by a shop in Chicago. Paint is fresh. Its a unique Amber Fireglo. Darker deeper red which I love

This always gets me. Playing thru an Decent Bass amp, Any Bass can sound like any bass. If you have a decent amp that has a DI out that captures both your BASS and Amp sound combined is what your going for. Amp is just as much involved in shaping the Total sound of what the end result is.

Re: 1980 4001 FG
Put it on Ebay. Take some really nice detailed pics. Start the bidding at 1300 for 7 days. I think you will get well over 1500 for this Bass. Shipping is not bad. But make sure you put in the ad buyer pays for shipping. Shipping costs will be determined at the end of auction depending on where you ...

Re: 1980 4001 FG
True, but you're selling a Rickenbacker. People won't care. Be prepared for people around the globe asking if you will ship it to them. Watch out for scammers on Craigslist who say they will send you money orders. They usually have funny names. They will actually send you what looks to be legit ...

Re: 1980 4001 FG
I will ad that last year I bid on a lefty 1981 Fireglo in mint condition on ebay . It looked very much like yours. Very clean, not played much . It eventually sold for 3,300. Now that was a lefty. Bit more rare. So you could list it on ebay just to see what it goes up to. If you were to get ...

Re: 1980 4001 FG
What ever you do, don't sell it to a music store unless the Mafia is after you for money. They will always low ball you. And make up excuses like the tuning peg just to lower the price. It's a very nice looking bass. Clean and vintage. Also, list it for sale on here in the Market area. its a ...

Re: 1980 4001 FG
You can say in the ad.... No returns. Sold As is. But, if the buyer complains to Ebay that the item is not as it was described, then Ebay will reach out to you and in the end could make a judgement for you to refund the money. But looking at the pics of this Bass, that's not gonig to happen. It's a ...
