Re: Vintage "S" Ricks

Would an early 1964 335S or 1997 come with a Pat Pending stamp on the Rickenbacker Accent or would it come without the stamp?

What do the experts say?

Re: Vintage "S" Ricks

Greg, quit teasing us!!! :P

We know it's a 360/12OS...but does it have a slash or "f" hole? I've enjoyed what's been posted so far, but I'm ready to see the guitar's face!

I'm pretty busy over the next few days, but I'll see if I can eventually get some additional pics posted.

Re: Vintage "S" Ricks

Check out the grain in the fingerboard. Perhaps a good reference for identification.

Also a swirl in the walnut at around the 5th or 6th fret.

Collin/Greg...

I don't have ashot from that angle, sadly. But I'll try to get that photo when i see him again, next week...

Any other specific pics requested? I'll do my best to get them.

But I stop short of unscrewing anything from the guitar!! :)

Any chance you have a photo looking straight onto the strap button & tailpiece anchor? I think Greg (and certainly myself) are curious about the screw positions.

Yes +1 :D

Re: 1964 Rickenbacker "Rose-Morris" 1993

Congratulations. That's one of the best RM 1993s that I ever seen. A beautiful instrument.

If you happen to have a chance, can you post a pic straight on of the end-plate strap button? I'd love to see the trapeze strap button and screw positions.

Best regards..................... :D :D :D

This is an awesome thread. Fabulous.

Just curious if you were to get a good close up pic of the bottom of the tailpiece and strap button? Also, another would be a close up pic of the trapaze tailpiece.

Re: Vintage "S" Ricks

I've been to a number of shows there myself. Always had fun. Usually stayed at Hilton towers, since it's fairly close. It's the hotel from The Fugitive (Harrison Ford). Love Chicago! CES Used to have a summer show there!

Re: Vintage "S" Ricks

The other thing that I remember is that the hotel guest rooms had just been repainted. Leaving all the furniture in place, everything, including the bathroom sink, had been painted in tan and white-flecked Zolatone. Utterly surreal!

Oh My Gosh, the fumes from painting everything must have been ...
