Proud Uncle Content

My nephew Bobby shown below in a picture taken in May, 2003 graduated from Florida State University last Saturday with his Master of Music, majoring in Music Therapy. He's had that Rickenbacker 1000 since Christmas, '98. Furthermore, his older brother graduates in two weeks from George Washington Un...

Re: What about acoustic Rics?

Paul is still building them - just not using RIC's logo anymore. I gather the licensing agreement with Rickenbacker is now at an end. They are "Madeleine" guitars now - named I gather after Paul's daughter. Same great build quality as always. If my aging memory is correct, the licensing a...

Re: Carl Wilson Signature 360/12 Stats

Here's another direct quote from John Hall on 09/17/06 regarding the number of Left-Handed Carl Wilsons. Even though the question was not how many were made, but rather how one could find out, I'll tell you the numbers: 360CWLH: 3 360/12CWLH: 4 Further notes of possible interest: one each of the 6 a...

Re: Recommend An Amp For A Steel Player

It's funny; when I started this thread almost two years ago, I looking for an inexpensive amp for my cousin. However, that's changed now since I've acquired a Rickenbacker lap steel for myself. For the most part, I've been practicing with it through using a Fender Champion 600. I have plugged it int...

Re: Carl Wilson 360 Limited Edition

Thats right, 250 6-string and 250 12-string guitars. ... Per Mr. Hall: "The stats have never been published. The total quantity is 500 units but it's certainly not split 50/50 between sixes and twelves. The preponderance of these were Fireglo's, there's a few Jetglo's, as there always are, and...

I'm yet another one in the camp that agrees that the "hot toasters" sound great on a six string ('96 1997 LH MG) while the scatterwounds sound great on a 12 string ('00 360/12 CW LH FG.)
