Re: Pickup swap

Thanks for the replies. If this were the strats I used to have, I'd just buy the pickup and modify/replace the pickguard. I care about the Ric too much to do that though lol! Yeah, I'm gonna have to save for an HB-1 then.

Pickup swap

Hello all, I'd like to get a humbucker to replace the high gain I have in the bridge. What after market humbuckers will fit, or can replace the high gain, without widening the cavity? Besides the HB-1.

Re: A few questions about Rickenbacker 620

I had the chance to try out a 620 at GC back in 2004. Chording was excellent but I could not bend the strings to save my life. Coming off of Les Pauls and Strats to the 620 was pretty drastic. The experience shy'd me away from coming back to the 620, though it is the best looking guitar available ...

Cool. I'm just trying to get a Phish type of lead tone. Smooth overdrive that can sustain into a nice feedback on the neck pup.

380 playability

Howdy everyone. Looking for a hollowbody and saw the 380L. I like to do nice long bends and when I played a 620 the other day it was almost unbendable. Is the 380L any better at doing some good long bends?

Will.

This is all it's down to now. I inquired about this when I was at Alembic and it's similar to what BC Rich was doing to their stuff in the 70's etc. Good for boosting a lower output pups.
