I don't know if it's been mentioned here, but the Tony Bramwell book "Magical Mystery Tour" is very good. It's nice to read something from someone who was actually there. Yoko doesn't come off very well (does she ever). Lots of funny stories.

The thing I'll always remember about Billy is that incredible smile. When you look at the "Let it Be" and "Concert for Bangladesh" films, you can see sheer joy when he was playing.

"My Longhorn Reissue is the best sounding short or medium scale bass I've owned."

Thanks Fran for the comments. I bought a Jerry Jones Longhorn off of eBay and am most pleased with the sound. Love those pickups!

"For that matter, if you want clarity and definition, a REAL Hofner ain't the way to go either!"

That's one of the reasons I didn't drop two grand for the Hofner.

I think that I'll try the Longhorn before I go with the Ric. I noticed from the ones on eBay that the intonation couldn't be ...

Short Scale vs Long Scale

I purchased a Rogue copy of a Hofner violin bass a while back and while I'm pleased with the action and playability, I was wondering about the advantages of switching to a Ric Bass for recording. I made the Rogue purchase because of my small hands, but it's a bit lacking in clarity and definition ...

What's the best way to deal with the storage problems associated with downloading " www.withthebeatlegs.com " files?

Download a few and burn them to disk and then delete the files.

Download to a portable harddrive, etc.

I'm interested in most of these cd's. Does anyone know if there's much ...

Yep, that was Richard Wright. Gilmour said in Guitar World that Roger Waters desire to reform Pink Floyd after the Live 8 show would never happen.

Thanks for the welcomes and the links.

Depending on your area, NBC repeats the Leno and Conan shows after "Last Call with Carson Daily", if you like being up till 3:00 AM.

Yes, Sussana is mucho hot. A hot chick who appreciates Rics, what a catch!

I watched Gilmour, it was great hearing the ...

Speaking of Leno; Did anyone catch Sussana Hoffs on Leno Wednesday night? She was playing a Ric doing Cinnamon Girl with some bloke. She's so tiny the Ric looked huge. Anyone know any details on the band?

Thanks,
John
