Charles,

not sure. The customer service guy I talked to said he would send slotted and Phillips to see what worked, but I only received the Phillips.

Received screws from Rick customer service. Bridge cover rattle has stopped. However, the Rick rep told me the correct screws for a c63 are slotted, but they sent me Phillips?

Oh, well, it sounds great!!

Anybody need anything from the Dallas Guitar Show?

Just got off the phone with Rickenbacker. They are sending me some new screws to try. Very nice to deal with.

Also, the guy I spoke with says slotted screws are correct for the c63.

The screws are fine, not sure about the bridge itself.
Paul - maybe I did get the wrong screws, as mine are slotted (regular), not Phillips head. Hopefully you can make that out in the picture.

I haven't called Rickenbacker yet.

It's brand new, manufacture date is 01/07.

So, are they 3-48 or 4-40?

The threads look good, they just won't tighten. I think I'll try re-threading the screw holes in the bridge and see what that gets me.

I will probably have to tap the screw holes one size larger.

Bridge Cover

Just got my 360/12c63 the other day - great guitar, but the bridge cover rattles like crazy. I tried tightening it, but the screws never get tight. Is there a way to solve this problem, short of removing it? I was thinking of using washers, if I can find some small enough.

I'm sure this has been ...

OK, the C63 has arrived! I'd like to post some photos, should I post here or in the "C" Series folder?

Sorry, I should have said a c63, not v63. I'm still learning!

Glad to hear another member got the v64.

I'll definitely send pics when I get it, hopefully by the end of next week.

I ended up bidding on and winning a 2007 360/12 v63. I'm sure I'll have more questions once it arrives.

Thanks,
Brad

Thanks again for all of y'alls help. I appreciate the education.

I dropped out of the bidding on this guitar, but I thought maybe it was a V64, so thanks for the confirmation.

I think I'll make another run at it and see where it goes,

Thanks for the quick response. I'm new to Rickenbackers so please bear with me.

How do you know it's a V64? Is there a distinguishing characteristic that's a permanent part of the guitar, i.e. not pickups or the tailpiece? Does the serial number tell you this?

Thanks for helping a noob,

Brad
