Yeah, I'm kinda surprised you don't see gold pg's on Ricks more often. I even like them on Fireglo!

The black looks great on both of those! Gives them a more upscale look IMO.

I completely agree--the white is a little jarring next to the walnut, it kind of draws the eye away from the nice woodgrain. I wonder if a multi-ply black pg and matching trc might look nice on walnut, 4002-style!

Absolutely! I love the contrast of the metallic with the beautiful grain of the walnut. The white looks great with solid colors though.

The gold sparkle pickguard on the T-bird is awesome! The original '50's 4000 models did have gold plastic,but you don't see a lot of 4001-type basses with them. Like i said,i love the look!
