Re: '87 Rose Morris 1993 Question.
From the Eriksson website previously mentioned: "In 1987, there was a district manager at Sam Ash Music Stores who was an afficionado of Rickenbackers, and a fan of these particular models, known as "Jimmy D.". Of course, the model 1997 had been reissued, reproducing the most popular ...

Re: '87 Rose Morris 1993 Question.
Here are a few shots of the lefty 1993. It seems that my photography lights want to bring out the red in the color, but it's actually brown in hue. It's not a perfect guitar, but still very clean for 26 year- old piece. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i22/tvking/DSC09578_edited-1_zps1160289d.jpg h...

Re: '87 Rose Morris 1993 Question.
Thanks for the info, Gentlemen. We recently acquired one of these guitars, serial # D0 9203 and the color is not quite the typical reddish FG, but a darker, browner type. I'll get a picture up soon. Dang thing is, it's a lefty.

'87 Rose Morris 1993 Question.
Hi All, I was reading over on Bjorn Eriksson's website an article on the 1993 RM reissues. It's mentioned there that a manager at Sam Ash named Jimmy D. ordered approximately twelve RM 1993 guitars in 1987: 6- twelve strings and 6-six strings. The differences he asked for were an "R" tailp...

Re: Help identifying this fretboard wood
Funny thing, at the Orlando Guitar show this past January, I watched a guy playing lead guitar on a 360/6 and it was amazing. He just chained up a gain and delay pedal and went to town. Made me look at these guitars in a different light because I'd always thought of them primarily as rhythm guitars....

Marshall, You've got yourself a rare bird and a real looker! 8) I think I speak for all when I ask for more photos. :!: Robert Hi Robert, I don't want the mods to mistake any of my posts as advertising- it's my understanding that promoting a business here is seriously frowned upon, but if you think...

Re: Help identifying this fretboard wood
Thanks for that very quick reply, John. I've been a member for a while now, but don't get to visit as often as I like (insert poor excuse emoticon here). I still see a couple of the guys at the Philly shows, but it's nose to the grindstone most of the time. Thanks for your help- I appreciate it! Bes...

Help identifying this fretboard wood
Hi Guys, I recently purchased this 1984 AutumnGlo 360. I immediately noticed the fretboard is quite figured but cannot identify the wood. I've never seen a 360 with a fretboard like this- any ideas or suggestions as to what it may be? Here are a few pictures. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i22/tv...

Re: 1982 AzureGlo Rickenbacker 4001 with Grover tuners
Hey Mike, Good to hear from you and I hope all is well. I never meant to lump everybody into one big pile when I posted that reply, I was merely addressing what seemed to be some concern as to the pricing on those two Ricky basses we have. My experience with you was a pleasant one as well- in Texas ...

Re: 1982 AzureGlo Rickenbacker 4001 with Grover tuners
Gentlemen, I understand that you may feel the pricing on this and the Blue Boy to be a little North of what could be considered the "norm", but what you may not realize is that, in today's climate, a dealer is expected to negotiate on everything, provide superior customer service and be fl...

Re: And they say Fireglo is the hardest color to photograph well
The only problem with having a wall full of these is, my wife can only equate them to harwood floors, new counter tops, etc. hence the quote, "Well, they all look the same to me. Why do you have to have more than one?"......I just sigh and bear this burden with a smile.
