Re: RIP Peter Graves
You bet, CJ, I'll admit that in a heartbeat. Very entertaining: great writing, directing, acting, filming and scoring. And great bongo playing, too.

Re: RIP Peter Graves
A few minor differences between Hollywood and reality: Mr. Phelps and his crew were never depicted administering physical torture to anyone, much less some completely innocent farmer whose neighbor ratted him out for the reward money and then stole his property while he was being 'extremely renditio...

I first saw Mission Impossible in 1968, living in a US Army housing area on a hill above Zweibrucken, Germany...a block of apartment buildings that (I would learn much later) had housed families of SS men in WWII. We had a cranky old B&W tv that got one German station...we used to watch stuff li...

Re: Poll: Band With Worst Hair
Since we're payin' homage to the unforgivable 'Lynrd', here it is once again for any who might have missed it, featuring the worst hair Will Ferrell's ever worn: http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/2fbfa7e2e5/conan-says-goodbye-with-will-ferrell-freebird (Of course, the good-natured, magnanimous exec's...

Re: Poll: Band With Worst Hair
Sorry, Sheena, but I have to disagree with your review...I'm callin' this: 'Funny to the point of bein' not bad!' I am quite positive I will never hear this stupid, wretched song performed any better. Спасибо, мой русский сестру! (Y'know, it's almost like they're makin' fun of 'US'...but that couldn...

My new favorite music video:
I don't think it will 'embed', so I believe you just have to double click on it to open a youtube window, and it should play then. Please be patient, I know it doesn't look like a music video at first, but oh, it sure is....

This appears to be a depiction of him earlier in his career, when he still had earlobes.

I awoke at 4:30 am MST with the realization that I had meant to type 'frere'....virally induced fevers always mess with my French spelling.

Re: It Pays To Be Nice.
When I was an infant (less than a year old) in Ethiopia, I contracted some horrendous mysterious disease. The Army doctors at the Post clinic couldn't figure out what it was...they said the symptoms came closest to matching those of Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. When it began to look as if I might b...

Re: MORE AMAZING MINIATURE STUFF!!!
It may take some folks a bit of time to realize that what they're seeing here is not a 'mini' NY, but a film of the full-scale original shot in such a way as to make it seem a miniature. I believe this approach was pioneered by the Italian film maker Olivo Barbieri...here's his 'site specific - vega...
