Re: Why Did You Let Your Rickenbacker Go?
I sold my '76 4080/12 JG back in the earl 2000s. It was starting to clash with my hernia.

Sorry for the confusion, Brian...just responding to Jeff and Sheena's posts on page 3. Okay, I know it's four and a half years later, but once again I call your attention to my 'signature'...

Re: Dave’s Aussie Confluence Adventure.
Uh, I know I've been out of the loop for awhile, but I don't understand...why would I mind being compared with Egor Letov? In fact, if I ever get to Siberia, I plan to look him up and jam with him. It could happen... As far as the chimp comparison goes, I'd like to see him tune a twelver...never min...

Re: Wow..some OLD YES VIDEO
Wow..stellar clip, Tony...thanks for posting. That's a nice old Rick Banks is playing, too...and it looks like the backup Fender bass was standing at the ready as well. Great vocals, as always. Of course, my attention inevitably gets drawn to the best drummer ever to dabble in rock. Notice the shirt...

Hey, Joshua (and anyone else in the Mild High City)...we'll be hittin' the MCA Denver (Museum of Contemporary Art, 1485 Delgany St.) next Friday, Oct 1 at 8 pm. Come on down, and if you do, definitely say hi. It would be great to meet you. There have been rumors flying around that there will be some...

Re: Scammer collecting real serials?
I haven't forced too many rules on myself in this lifetime, but here are two hard-and-fast ones: I don't work for bosses who yell, and I don't correspond with people who type in all caps...and that goes double if they're incapable of using punctuation. An obnoxious jerk with PLENTY OF CASH??? Ooooh....

Just chipping in to help keep your thread fair and balanced, homey...and considering all the mean-spirited foolishness exhibited here for days, I think I should qualify for this week's 'Admirable Restraint' award for staying out of it 'til now. Oh waiter, I think we're done here...could we get the c...

Re: Real wild vote
Yeah, I'm with Brian...Iggy's version is the only one I'd like to hear more than once. Having said that, it's pretty hilarious to hear all of these geezers singing the line "I'm just outta school..." Funny, in the same way that hearing a guy in his sixties like Mick singing a line like &qu...

I'm steerin' clear of the politics (except to say I consider Paul's remarks to be his finest moment since he played on top of that building with those other Liverpool guys...only my opinion OF COURSE, but this ranks right up there with "...just rattle your jewelry..." and a few others I wo...

Re: Any Cyclists? (pedal not motored)
I love my motorcycle, but I still like pedalling, too...I grew up riding on back roads through the hills of western Europe, and I still enjoy getting up on two wheels when I get the chance. I have an old 'Stump Jumper'...still a great bike. A good friend of mine (former 82nd Airborne Ranger and OAE ...

Re: Macca's tour bus attacked in Mexico City
Oh, I dunno...I've been to Mexico many times and never had a problem...which certainly is not to say it isn't a dangerous place. Every place in the world that features an economic system where 2% of the population (who are the modern descendants of invading conquerors) owns everything is going to be...
