There are supposed to be Darkstar 5 pickups available this summer. I'd bet that would be an awesome combination!

Charly,
Man....I'd love it if you posted more pics of your 4-2-5! I just ordered a 4003 Fireglo that will get the 4-2-5 treatment from Jeff as soon as I get it (June).

Woodwind & Brasswind.

Very similar to Sameday music, Music123 and Musiciansfriend.

Jeff,
I have my order in with WWBW. Looking at June before they (fireglo) are available. Oh well....good things come to those who wait.

Yeah...they all do look like works of art. At first I was like "I can handle this no problem!" but the more I thought about it last night and this morning the more I was convinced to leave it in the hands of the experienced.

Jeff,
Ya know? I don't think I'm going to attempt this...I can just see myself really screwing it up and I REALLY like what you've done with your previous 4-2-5 conversions so when I get the Fireglo and the $$ together I'll get in touch with you.

You should go to Talkbass.com and check out the Wishbass threads there. Hilarious! A bunch of TBers got together and bought one so that everyone could play it, review it and ship it to the next collective buyer. The comments are pretty funny.

I was thinking about the Kahler but also some other imports look a little easier to install....also building a pickguard around them to hide the bridge route. That Kahler bridge looks a bit daunting for me. Thanks for the advice about the Carvin nut. That should make things much easier. As far as ...

I have seen it. I emailed the reviewer after I read the review and he sent me some pics. It actually didn't look too bad. The best looking bass Wish has ever created that's for certain. The finish was a little rough but the body and headstock shape looked fairly accurate. The reviewer told me he ...

That's cool man, glad you found a buyer! I'll tell yeah...I like every 4-2-5 on Jeff's site. They all look great. My main problem with Rics overall is the tailpiece and bridge. My old 4 string 4003 I bought already had a badass II on it (stupidly sold it). I loved not having to fool with the stock ...

Jeff,
Well...A Fire or Mapleglo is priority for me so that kinda rules out Ron's. I also have to use my WWBW card so that means I can only buy the 4003 from them. I"m almost positive I want to do it on my own.
Hey email me at my listed email address and let me know $$ for the parts. I have the ...

Dang! You guys (especially Charly) are REALLY MAKING ME WANT TO DO THIS!

Jeff,
I've got the Gotoh tuners already. Since I'm planning on replacing the bridge and most likely the pickups I'm thinking all I'll need is the nut, bridge and pickups (best bass gear for those). Do you have a narrow 5 ...

Ron,
That's cool. I actually love my Jazz V allot but I've been gassing for a Ric 5er for a while now. Can only get it on credit. So...my only real option now is to get a 4003 new and mod it or have Jeff mod it. I know that sounds crazy...buy a new 4003 to mod it to a 5 stringer...but oh well ...
