Actually Ken, none of them has True Bypass. Although, the AC30CC claims that it has a True Bypass effects loop. Could this be the problem?

Jason - I use AC adapters for my (4) pedals. But....I bought cheap patch cords (6 for $8.00). This may have something to do with it.

I think I have discovered the problem.......

It has something to do with my effects pedals signal chain. Last night I tried plugging directly into my Deluxe Reverb (no effects) - tone on all pickups was fine. Prior to this, I was putting the pedals in front of my Deluxe and in the effects loop on ...

Ken, I tried this and it helped. But tone still is muffled.

Karl, my 350V was made in March, 2005.

I've heard that different RIC's have various "peculiarities". Could this be one of those? Do other people's 350's sound the same as mine? Is this just "the way it is?" Or....Am I doing something ...

Jason - I'm not setup for recording. Not to mention that I have no clue as what to do. I'll try to decribe the tone.

Both Volume controls at 3/4 for Rhythm.
Both Volume controls all the way up for Lead.
Both Tone controls all the way up.
Little knob about 1/2 way up.

Bridge pickup: Nice ...

350V63

When I play my 350V63 with all pickups 'on' or bridge pickup 'on', I get nice clean tones. When I switch just the neck/middle pickups 'on', the tone sounds muddy/muffled (I don't mean bass-ey).

I've tweaked all the knobs on the guitar and on the amps, still sounds muffled. I even tweaked the ...

Last night Leno had a band on the show, but I didn,t catch the name. One of the guitar players had what appeared to be a six-string guitar with two humbuckers, but.......the body and headstock were the same as a 4001 bass. Very unusual.

Here's an interesting observation......
PBS has been airing "The 60's Experience" during their pledge drive. Mostly this special is all music with a little history/social commentary thrown in. Anyway - when they showed the archival footage of the 60's bands and performers I noticed that most of the ...

As a new Ric owner, I'm surprised to hear that. I play all types of music on my 350 - lead, rhythm, fingerpicking, flatpicking, etc.

Good comments guys - thanks.

Speaking of collectors....I just saw an auction where a 62 Stratocaster is up to $23,000! Yikes! I wonder if the collectors are actually musicians, or just money/investment types?

It seems a shame for someone to buy a new Ric and stick in a box somewhere until the ...

How come not too many Rickenbackers On Stage?

Since Ric's are in such demand, you would thimk that you would see a lot of professional musicians using them. Sure, there's a smattering of Ric basses, and just about every electric 12-string is a Ric, but you don't really seem to see a proliferation of Ric's.

Just wondering........
