Re: Neck moving help needed
I have the same issue a couple times a year. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Winters can be dry with wide temp and humidity fluctuations throughout the year. I have a humidifier for the winter months, and try to keep humidity around 35-40%. All my basses need a small truss tweak at least twice a year (going ...

Re: What kind of bass amp do you use with your Rickenbacker?
I use a TC BH550 or an Ampeg PF500 through single or double 12" cabs. I was using the SansAmp BDDI for years. Recently stopped using it on smaller shows. I find I now prefer the sound of the actual instrument over double processing (SansAmp and bass amp eq). Quite happy with the sound of the bass ...

Re: Juststrings.com branded strings
I've been using Juststrings branded bulk strings on my Ric. I use the factory guages. I've used many brands and find their bulk strings on par with D'adarrio and DR. Never an issue, they last as long as the others. Price can't be beat. You'll have no issues. Good to deal with as well.

Re: Finest set of roundwounds available today?
I've tried a few brands.
I've had surprisingly good results with JustStings bulk nickel strings. No issues intonating, last long (before sounding dull), good sounding string, excellent price.
The other ones I really like are DR Sunbeams.
I'm also sticking with the Ric specs 45-55-75-105. This is ...

Re: A 4003 for my different uses?
I gig every weekend. I have a P, a J and recently got a Ric.
I take the bass I feel like playing. Yes, when going through FOH an experienced sound man should be able to get the tone your looking for.
I use a SansAmp BDDI for all gigs/studio, so I can dial in my sound.

Re: How to shield a 4003 bass?
I have a 2016 4003s. My first Ric.
I use a SansAmp BDDI and Boss tuner at every show. The BDDI can generate a lot of noise if certain settings are too high. I noticed a lot of hum and could not figure out why. I've been playing Fenders for decades and never had this amount of hum/pup noise.

Re: 4003 E saddle issue
Same issue with a new 2016 4003s. I reversed the saddle on the A string to give me more play for intonation. After reversing, the saddle rocked slightly. I put it back in it's original position and it no longer rocked. I bought a spare set of saddles and hardware. I'll try another saddle after ...
