HB1 pickup ohms reading

I have a 5 wire HB1 pickup that I can't get an ohms reading from.
I've checked continuity on all wires from the ends to the pickup and they are all connected.
I have the blue and ground shield wires together. The black and clear wires together and the red as hot.

Re: I'm after a 4003 Fireglo with a small neck profile. Advi

For anyone else interested in neck comfort. I have a wrist injury that has limited the rotation of my left hand. I took my 87 4003S to a local violin luthier and had him shape the neck for me. 38mm at the nut. 22mm thick at the first fret. 23mm thick at the 12th fret. This is now my favorite bass ...

Special editions

How does one find out about new special edition basses? I just saw a 2019 Rickenbacker 4003S JPS Pearlstar. I never heard of this bass but would like to be informed if any special edition basses are being released.

Thanks! It was a bit stressful putting a drill bit to the headstock.

Re: First attempt at a 4-2-5

Yes, the narrow spacing is perfect for me too. Right hand finger style is no problem.
