Here's a couple of pictures of the toaster pickup from my first 420 on my '59 DuoJet. When I was stationed at Ft Hood in the early 70's I used to go into the all the pawn shops (25 or so) looking for guitars. One day a pawn shop owner said he had something I might like. He brought out a black Gretsc...

4001 vs 4003
I'm a guitar player not a bass man! In a nutshell, what is the difference (in features, not price!) between a 4001 and 4003 bass?
Which is preferred? Or does it really matter?
Thanks!
Tony

620/12 Mapleglo - Black Hardware?
I have a 620/12 Mapleglo from 1989. It has black hardware and a black Rick logo plate on the peg head.
How common is black hardware on a Ric? Mine's the only one I've seen but I've never really looked. I see chrome and gold all the time but no black.
Thanks!
Tony

M12 Amp
I can't seem to find any info on the Rickenbacker M12 amp. Mine has 2 6L6 tubes with an empty socket that could take a third one. Should I put one in? Where should I send this amp for a recovering, cap job, and general check up? Any idea as to when the M12 was made? Thanks! Tony http://archives.rick...
