Thanks Bruno.
Any chance you have a photo looking straight onto the strap button & tailpiece anchor? I think Greg (and certainly myself) are curious about the screw positions.
I finally took it!
Apologies for the delay in providing this photo and for the quality! I completely forgot. Hope this ...

Re: Thunderbird
Wow, the foto really helps show the scale between the P bass and the Rickenbacker.
The "scale" of the instruments, as properly defined by the vibrating string length, are not all that different. It's simply a matter of how you strap those puppies on. But if you go the T-bird route, make sure you ...

Re: Thunderbird
I had a 1986 Gibson Thunderbird, "Custom shop" model, for about 5 yrs, until 2004. being a big Firebird fan, I was really taken with the body shape and the idea of owning a T'bird. I fell in love with the "thunderous" (ouch!) tone and its looks... but if I'm honest, it was the least practical bass ...

Collin/Greg...
I don't have ashot from that angle, sadly. But I'll try to get that photo when i see him again, next week...
Any other specific pics requested? I'll do my best to get them.
But I stop short of unscrewing anything from the guitar!!

Re: 1964 Rickenbacker "Rose-Morris" 1993
Congratulations. That's one of the best RM 1993s that I ever seen. A beautiful instrument.
If you happen to have a chance, can you post a pic straight on of the end-plate strap button? I'd love to see the trapeze strap button and screw positions.
Best regards..................... :D :D :D ...

It's a dream to play.... and it really "rings" acoustically. Plugged in, it can only be described as THE Sound!

Thanks Jake.
He has owned this guitar for about twenty years. I have actually seen it on many occasions before, but to my shame, it wasn't until I snapped a photo of it (on my phone) a couple of weeks ago, that I realised what it was!
As an aside - he actually owned a matching six string, as well ...

Thank you for your kind comments, Eddie....
It is a superb guitar, in remarkable condition. It sounds absolutely magnifique! And the best thing of all is that it is gigged regularly. So it is enjoyed by many!

1964 Rickenbacker "Rose-Morris" 1993
This is my friend's Rickenbacker "model 1993"... serial number DG917. Photos taken to brighten up a dull and rainy morning in England....

Hope you don't mind me re-opening this topic... my question is related.
The neck toaster pickup on my 1966 450/12 has died... I took the pickup to a guitar repair shop and they are telling me that there is a break in the coil winding. They are suggesting a rewind, with 44AWG wire - and have asked ...
