Since i own a 70's Ric copy (with set neck) i have researched some of the other copies out there from the 70's..this looks like one of the Tokai or Greco's from that period to me...and with the paint in the soundhole most likely an old beat up one that was refinished..

Ron,
The Valvetronix site works pretty well at getting close on lot's of different mixes..i tried a few blues/classic rock settings on my Ampeg R212R, clean on a Fender Frontman practice amp and rock on my EVH 5150 and it really puts them 'in the ballpark' with just a little tweaking for personal ...

My guess is early 90's before they changed over to the VH signature on the front panel....Peaveys are pretty hard to date...as little wear and as clean as it is i would say it hasnt had much road use...home or studio time is my guess...

Hi, i am the guy that bought this Ric copy...just wanted to say that i understand it is in NO way a Rickenbacker but add that it does play and sound rather well...for me it will work fine for my living room jam sessions.

Learning to deal with the narrow neck and string spacing and THEN i am going ...
