Hey Paul - I'm curious if you used the picture(s) of my Lemmy 4004LK. Looking forward to picking up this book!

Re: New Englanders?

This idea seems to have petered out. I live in Mass, and would really enjoy getting together with some of folks on this board. Who's in?

Ric Sighting - Jimmy Fallon show

Martha Wainwright performed an Edith Piaf song on tonight's Jimmy Fallon show. The guitarist had a MG 330 with toasters - He even doubled on clarinet! Another example of the almighty versatile Rickenbacker!!!

Re: Broadway Musicals

I play most of the big shows that come into the Boston Theaters - The Wang, Colonial, and Opera House. I've been doing them for 11 years or so. When they go on for weeks at a time, it can be a challenge to keep my head in it. Most of the time, it's a ton of fun.

Re: Dawning Realisation...

I have 3 Rick basses - 4001v63 MG, 4003 Blueboy, and a 4004LK. Fun to play and beautiful to look at. But, I always take the 78 P bass on the gig - I recently dropped the stock pups back in - Thunderous sound. When I play that bass, it's like putting on an old pair of slippers.

I enjoy all things ...

Re: Gigging Pro, Jamming Hobbyist, or Collector?

I'm a pro, making 100% of my living from gigging. Most of the work I do is classical, playing the double bass. I also play musical theater throughout New England. When I am required to play electric bass, I go with my Fender P or Pedula Penta. I don't take the Ricks on those gigs.

So, yes, I'm a ...
