Re: Ernie Ball 12-String 8-40 Gauge
Can someone tell me what is wrong with the standard Rickenbacker strings.
I have always used them on my 660/12TP, 330/6mg, 660/6mg, & 660/12mg all of which I have now sold on, and my current 360/6 walnut and 360/12 walnut and I have never had a problem with either tone or life. So what is the ...

Re: Knobs
Just changed the knobs on my 360/12 Walnut today from the all black retro knobs to the silver capped ones and the guitar looks a million times better now.

Re: 360/6 & 360/12 in walnut
I hate to show my ignorance but what does OOP mean ?
I have oiled my guitar bodies as per the manual with Tung oil and they look so much better after. Just follow the instructions, and remove bridge , R tailpiece etc and then two coats of oil. It takes 6 to 8 hours to properly soak in and then buff ...

Re: Strings for 360 12 String?
I would stick to Rickenbacker Nickel Round Wound. It is what they put on and I do not have a problem with them on either my 6 0r 12 strings.

Re: 360/6 & 360/12 in walnut
So no-one on here has an opinion about the natural walnut guitars ? Well they have excellent tone and the big plus is they are not easy to dink or scratch and unlike the painted models if you do it doesn't show up as obviously.

Re: Knobs
Why does it need to be cheaper for them ? Their guitars new carry a premium price in the UK and dealers sell a set of knobs for about £37 a set with their profit in that price. Come on Rickenbacker put a spare set in the case as an option.

360/6 & 360/12 in walnut
Hi all
I bought the 360/6 in 2020 new from a dealer in Italy at a really good price but although brand new it was made in 2015. Lovely colouring and plays well. So I decided I fancied a 12 string and I really like the 360 shape as it is super comfortable so I went with the walnut again. I love the ...

Re: Knobs
Just bought a new 360/12 Walnut and the old style knobs look awful on it mainly because walnut is pretty drab anyway so I will be putting the silver topped ones on it. I used to have a 660/6 and 660/12 both in Mapleglo and the all black knobs looked great on them especially with the gold pickguards ...

Re: PURE TUNG OIL
Took your advice jdogric12. Took off all the controls and washed the pickguard in warm soapy water and used one of those kitchen sponges with the slight abrasive side and cleaned off the hardened oil without damaging the finish. Also while the pickguards were off put a light oil over the bad bits ...

PURE TUNG OIL
Hi all.
I have recently oiled my Walnut 360/6 with Tung oil in accordance with the Rickenbacker handbook and have learnt a couple of things in doing it. When wiping any excess oil off the guitar be thorough as once it dries it leaves a trace of the excess which in certain places doesn't look great ...

Re: And in the end ...
My first Rick was a TP Ltd Edition new in 1991. Silly me sold it in 2016 for double what I paid. It would be 4X the original price now or even more. I then bought a new 330/12 Walnut but couldn't get on with the neck width and traded it in for a 12 string Taylor acoustic. I then bought a new old 330 ...

Re: Thalia capos
I like Shubb and I have 2 one for 6 string and one for 12. Unfortunately the 12 string does not work on the Taylor 12 string. I have therefore bought a capo specifically for a 12 string acoustic. As a 6 string capo I think the latest G7 offering is great. No springs and you just squeeze it together ...
