C. 48 NS Horseshoe resistance/impedance?
Sorry - couldn't work out how to cross-post from another section, so cut'n'paste it is!

Late 40's NS steel pickup - DC resistance?
Hey guys,
What's the general range these pickups were wound to? I have a c.'48 NS that I'm currently troubleshooting - the pickup measures 1.8K ohm with the volume/tone controls out of the picture. I'd have thought them to have a bit more wire than that!

To further mutate the thread;
"Unguarded Moment", by The Church - great crunchy 12 string Rick parts.

Although not strictly within the parameters of this distorted thread, here are a couple I play with my band on 12 string.
Wish you were here, Pink Floyd
Wonderwall, Oasis (the intro/main progression)
Computer Games, Mi Sex (the synthy parts)
Down to the waterline, Dire Straits (for no other reason ...

Re: Knob Question
It's refreshing to know that nobody made the obligatory "knob" double entedre (well...a 1.5 entendre at least). I think we're all growing as human beings.

Re: Youtube GOLD!
The Jake E Lee one with Ozzy clapping from time to time is pretty funny...
The I like how you get an impression that it "could" be what is being played by how he matches picking/strumming tempo...

Youtube GOLD!
The latent iconoclast in me just has to post these - also search for this guy's "Jake E. Lee Shreds". Interested to hear your reactions to such wonderful "playing"!

I second that...particularly if we're talking about the great live version on Remember that nightjps wrote:Nice! Now go learn Echos. The perfect song for that Strat.
I also second the sentiment - the list has been great to me. Bravo list

Re: More eBay evil...
Hey Mark,
I feel your pain on this one. This one was even harder to pick as it came from eBay as an official second chance offer. A mate of mine recently got done on a second chance offer such as yours - I normally do his eBaying - he's a touring musician, so I'm glad it wasn't me.

I've offered POL photos with my eBay sales - I think it's a culture that eBay needs to encourage.

Guys,
Thought I'd share this one with you.
I'm sure we've all seen the phoney second chance offer scam. Well, I just got a real, ebay initiated second chance offer from an auction I'd missed out on by $50 - a nice looking 1966 Gibson J-45. I snapped it up, but because of the timing thought it was ...
