Re: The Book is alive!
hi Paul - the book has reached UK bookshops and more importantly (!!!) onward to my armchair - i had to add myself to the VERY impressed forumites here, and am knocked out by the entertaining text, facts i'm taking in without even realising it as it flows so well as a read, and the design and ...

Re: Even more book progress
I can confirm its 4005 heaven! Its in great condition (only "mod" is the strap button moved from the top horn to the rear - John must have done this after this bass's late 60's TV appearances...), sounds just like it sounded when it recorded "the seeker" with The Who (and how cool is that???!!!) and ...

Re: Even more book progress

All the best Paul, and great to see the mounting interest/excitement every post on the book's progress generates here - well done on a mammoth project - we're clearly all wishing it was July (OK we do that ANYWAY ...

Re: I Spy With My Little Eye....
I still look in as this is where all the good stuff is!!!! Been a bit quiet as a death in the family prompted a sudden house move, and although that was a while back now, there's still lot to do at the new place, as i constantly strive to make more and more of the house Rickenbacker-friendly ...

Re: How Many Ric Basses Do You Have?
Hello Paul! Yes still here, still keeping the faith - I'm even typing this with an 81 jetglo 4001 round my neck! I think you're on the money re the Azureglo v63, although i thought I saw one advertised somewhere on ebay (?) once.. a year, maybe 3 ago...?? I was doubtful, mainly because although I ...

Re: How Many Ric Basses Do You Have?
must admit I haven't been by for a while due to legendary phobia of my computer (scary things best left to the young, while oldies like me then have a clear run at the Rickenbacker shops), but my Rickenbacker bass "stash" is I'm sure nearer 30 than 40!!!! The rest of the Rickenbacker tally is 6 and ...

Re: Picture of you playing your Ric...part 2
that's a compliment Paul!!! - er actually I AM much older....... (my rotosound bill keeps me looking young...!!).VERY close on the bass too............!! actually my guess is it started life as a 4000 (kneck p/u route looks a little too handmade), previous owner in the US loved Chris Squire and did ...

Re: Rickenbacker 4005 on BBC4 last night
