Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery

My brother worked in a music store in the early 70's to the early 80's and said that there were Rickenbacker guitars that came into the store and were designated as "MoonGlo", and that was over forty years ago. That seems to shoot R. O'keefe's story down!! . That leaves us with a few poss...

It's officially designated as Autumnglo although on here Redburst has been used. Here are more shots....
I think these are the guitars that were called "MoonGlo" when he worked at a music store in the mid 70's!
AFAIK, Ron O'Keefe explained the term "moonglo" was c...

I like those dark 1997s...60's Autumnglo or whatever the color is called. It's officially designated as Autumnglo although on here Redburst has been used. Here are more shots.... I think these are the guitars that were called "MoonGlo" when he worked at a music store in the mid 70's!

I think those 1997 60's AutumnGlo's were the "MoonGlo's" I mentioned a few years ago that my brother said came into the music store he worked at in the early 70's!!

Re: If Rickenbacker Didn't Exist

The reason the Beatles and all the British bands, played the instruments they did was they bought what was available to them. If Fender and Gibson would have been in the music stores at that time, you can be sure they would have been using those brands instead. And Mr. Hall made a genius move by giv...

Rickenbacker, Hofner, and Vox (All great companies and products) owe all their longevity and popularity to the Beatles!!

Re: If Rickenbacker Didn't Exist

Rickenbacker is a top quality, as good as any guitar maker out there today, but if it wasn't for the Beatles, I doubt that they would be even one quarter as popular, or known as they are today, and this forum probably wouldn't even exist!!

The FireGlo guitar in your photo looks exactly like the 1993Plus model Rickenbacker is making now, which has the wider neck width.
Do your Fab Gear models have the wide or narrow neck widths?
Very nice collection either way!!

This is what is called a teaser. This is what Rickenbacker shows what they can do, but just give you a little taste and then just keep on knocking out the same old thing year after year!! :?

Re: Why No 360/12 Wide neck - like the 1993/Plus

Mr. JH addressed this on the factory forum some years ago. In short, the traditional stock 360/12 neck width is selling too well to change. The guitars sell just the way they are, which is due to the fact that Rick players get used to the quirks and accept them. Yeah, and spending a lot of extra mo...

Re: Why No 360/12 Wide neck - like the 1993/Plus

Well, I finally got my wider nut, 12 saddle bridge and went to my luthier to install and set up my used 360/12 Montezuma Brown Ric I purchased a while ago. Just got it back and though it is not quite as easy to play as my 1993Plus, and 660/12 with the wider necks, it did make a difference and more p...

Dom,

Do yourself a favor and put that beautiful checkerboard binding on the front, AND the back of the guitar.
Definitely AFG, and "f" sound hole! Now that is what I call the perfect 350 Ric!!! :D
