Joey, Jeff and I have met. He was helping me with a Craig's list transaction that fell through, but I spent an enjoyable afternoon noodling on his impressive collection in the Heights!!

Re: Marketplace Forum Restriction For New Members

Well, I HAVE been a denizen of the MFR forum for several years. I HAVE been a Rick owner since 1983. I HAVE met Jeff. I don't really consider myself a "newbie." I just felt that I would "rather" try to sell them here. The market out there BLOWS right now!!! No offense taken, but this seem like the ...

Re: Picture of you playing your Ric...part 2

Hi Jeff!! I finally made it over!! Joey, it is an 08 FL, I believe. I am in the process of trying to sell it. Jeff has actually played it some. They HYDRIVE is a GREAT sounding cab. I am driving it with an SVT 6-PRO . The hybrid speakers are much warmer than the regular Hartke stuff. The weight ...

Re: To use flats or not, I just don't know...

I have three Ricks strung with TI Jazz Flats , an 06-4004cii an, 82 4001, and an 09 4004 fl. I also have an 09 4003 and 06 4001c64 both strung with rounds......If you are going to try flats, my recommendation is to go with the TI's. They get better over time too!

Good Golly Man! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the horseshoe in my 4001c64! I guess it is different strokes, but I would put one on all three of my Ricks if I could! The only drawback is the cumbersome nature of the thing! It sounds so great, that I'll learn to play around it! I actually took the bridge hi-gain ...

Along the lines of the original topic (ahem!) I bought a 4001 BG in 1982. I have never done a set-up on it and, it plays fine for me. I recently bought a used 2002 4001c64 FG from POTR and it plays fantastic to my tastes right from Chris. Last year, I bought a 4004cii from POTR and it is my least ...
