Even if you do end up having to make an adjustment, it'll be a subtle one either way.

Re: TI 12’ers Alert
Definitely more of a matter of playability.

Tom's 660/12 - Does it have the Ric-O-Sound jack?
You can see it at about the 2:24 mark in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lAz7SPRLKk
Is that a Ric-O-Sound jack?..if it is, it's interesting that none of the production models has it.
I wish I knew more about the back story behind this guitar (when it was first conceived, any ...

Re: New Bass Day! RMH1999
Thanks wim, that means a lot coming from you! I used to have a 2003 C64, but this beats it in every way. I feel silly because I can't stop looking at it!
:)

Re: 600-Series Shape Changes
Thank you Sterling! :)
Between the inlays and the fatter horns, I was wondering if maybe they had the year wrong in that guitars description!
So Paul W. did those, huh? I would love to have him install those inlays on my 1995 660-6, but he has a $500.00 minimum for guitars that are mailed in, and ...

Re: 600-Series Shape Changes
Hey guys,
I've spent hours tonight looking at 600 series guitars and noting all the differences. WOW. I had to start taking notes I was getting so confused! My favorite 620/625 models are the 1962 to 1983 models. I have a 1995 660-6 string so it has all the features I like. Here it is:

Re: New Bass Day! RMH1999
Once the bobbin is removed from the baseplate/shoes it can be unwound just like any other pickup. The shoes are held on by four screws, two of which are what holds the bobbin in place, relatively simple to do.

The front pickup is a custom re-wind by Curtis Novak, and ... measures 7.4K ohms just like the stock Rickenbacker toaster so it SOUNDS the same, but has better focus. ... Re: New Bass Day! RMH1999
I love the surround on this bass, to me this should've been the reissue type.
I cut this by hand from an original stamped brass Rickenbacker lapsteel surround, then sent it to be triple plated so that it's better than the original ones were.

Re: New Bass Day! RMH1999
Very nice work! If you were on stage and I were in the audience, I probably would think it was 50+ years old.
Are those reissue pickups? If so, how do they play together?
Thanks Bill!...That's the ultimate compliment right there! :)

Re: New Bass Day! RMH1999
I have removed all 4 screws on my neck pickup, so I could raise it maximally.
Since the height adjustment screws are connected to the base plate, the while thing is kept together by some tape which you can't even see.
