I'm the guilty party. Just got this thing wrapped up after nearly 2 years of work. I tried to stray as far from the originals as I could manage...damn hard to improve on such perfection, though. The neck is bubinga, walnut and maple. Top is Alaskan curly spruce, and back is butcherblock ...

Great to have these links in one place. Anyone come to a final decision on the sandcast bridges? They really look sandcast, I can see some pitting on the top of the one in the pics.

That bass is a close as I'd go without expecting (and deserving) legal action.
