Some of these sellers are major retailers (such as Ishibashi), and they will have excellent and extensive customer support. Others are small firms or individuals. For the latter, check feedback as you would for any ebay seller. I have bought a number if instruments from a variety of Japanese sellers...

I bought one for my 2015 4003S,, that has 1/2" spacing (the guard, not the bass!) but may not install out of fear of opening up that cavity so close to the edge of the body. It looks great. I'm still unclear what you don't like about that pic... I imagine sunlight may not have been the best en...

It concerns me that the tips of the rods do not appear to be even, suggesting one rod may have migrated up its channel. are you able to see inspect the anchor nuts at the base of the neck?
