Stereo leaking?

I used my ric`o sound stereo-kit, splitting the pickups on my 77 4001bass. the Bass went to a peavy rig and the treble to a orange rig. I turned off the orange rig and switch the pickup selector on my my bass to treble and I could hear a weak signal but loud enough to hear, so it wasnt muted 100%!! ...

Re: Higher output on my 74 neck-pickup compared to treble-pickup

Thanks Folks!
I have the push-pull switch on the treble, and I have tried to adjust the height. I will try again today, could just be because the neck pickup is closer to the neck?? In a place were the string swing more..??

Thanks

Higher output on my 74 neck-pickup compared to treble-pickup

Hi! I have Higher output on my 74 neck-pickup compared to the treble-pickup, on my 77 they are matching each other good. So on my 74 I have to roll off a bit on the bas-volume so that they match fine. Is this normal, or could a cap on the neck-pickup be broken. By the way, the neck pickup on my 77 i...

Re: 1977 Rick basses ?

I have a 74 and a 77, the 77 has a smaller pickguard, can see more of the wood. the neck is a bit fuller then the 74, not wider. but slimmer then 80`s 4001 and later 4003. And they might be popular because they are 10+ to play on.

Eldste Rickenbacker bassen i Norge?

Hvem har den eldste, eller vet om den eldste Rickenbacker basseen i Norge, mener at Jan Devik snakka om en kompis av han hadde en gammel en..skal høre med ham igjen. Men kanskje dere vet noe? Ellers skulle jeg ha hatt tak i noen nylonpakninger(washers) som skal være mellom strapbolten og kroppen, no...

Re: Are we supposed to speak native?

I purchased my Tommy og Tigern (thanks for the correction) at a Rema 1000 in Alta. A prized possesion as it kept me sane while visiting Karasjok and Lakselv (no night life what-so-ever). I wish I could visit more often, Norway is beautiful country. As a side note, the the single most beautiful woma...

strapbolts in the 70`s

Should there be a plastic ring on the strapbolts,(between the strap and the body) on the muting strapbolts there are...so should they be at the strapbolts as well?? Looked at the component diagrams at rickenbacker.com and they weren`t shown there, Anybody know about this?

Thanks

Re: Are we supposed to speak native?

I only know a couple of phrases in Norwegian: It's a little bit like Swedish, I think. hei! takk deg. Det er kald i dag. farvel! Jeg elsker deg. :D (this smile translates to any language) Norwegian is more like danish actually, but close to swedish as well. "Takk deg" would be a direct tr...

Re: Are we supposed to speak native?

I personally enjoy the Norwegian dialogue. It allows me to practice my Norwegian reading skills with something else besides Tommy og tiggern. Lol! Tommy og tigern is Calvin and Hobbes in Norway! But be careful; tiggern = the beggar, tigern = the tiger! :D hehehe Lars isn`t it TigerEn. ;) You wrote ...
