basslines into the collective consciousness

Can you give us your opinion on an amazing bass line that qualifies as a household hum....basically something that is so etched in, that some one without perfect pitch could probably hum it in key. You catch my drift 8) like for example: "Is she really going out with him" Graham Mabe/Joe J...

Glenn Mercer band (THE FEELIES) tonight

Tonight! If you find yourself in North Jersey. Strumming along on a JG370VP through a HIWATT SA212. Should be a lot of fun with a great bunch of people....a lot of encyclopedic minds on Rock n Roll too. I'm sure you could bump into anyone and almost get into a conversation that might drive you to mi...

Re: The Long Ryders

I had the honor of strumming that 360/12 in Austin Tx. in front of a shoe store parking lot gig. There should be a lot of footage on youtube...maybe not much with the 12 stringer. Criminally underrated group. I'm absolutely certain they would have their own forum here if more folks knew about them. ...

Re: The Smithereens live 1987

I saw them around this time probably at the Chestnut Cabaret in Philly. They tune to Eb and they were quite powerful and loud. Jim Babjak is a tasty wailer who never overplays, in and out and supportive. First time I ever heard a Rickenbacker through a Marshall. Meeting them later, they were all swe...

Doug a great thanks for posting...So digging the footage!
I was a college DJ in the 80's and played the heck outta that first record! Quite a powerful sound...a good live mix would make a believer of anyone too!

I tried to buy Rhett Crowe's 4005 some time ago and he had just sold it at the time.

I have a 2010 with almost 40,000 miles on it, and I love it. I've had several cars go over 250,000 miles, and one with 300,000 (I still see it running around town 7 years later). The Subi is the best by far! Congratulations! Ditto on that CONGRATS MITCH! , I've got a Forester with 130K on it....but...
