Re: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
I saw this movie the other night and really enjoyed it. Cool use of a Rickenbacker bass in the movie as well.

Re: Rickenbacker 4003 pickup cover removal?
I ended up using Joey's first method of removing the strings and whatnot and got the baby right off. The second way that Jon Hall suggests is a tad bit tricky. I couldn't get it off like that.

Rickenbacker 4003 pickup cover removal?
So I got my new Rickenbacker and tried to take the pickup cover off based on the instructions I read on this site. I got
The screws loosened and the pickup dropped but can't get cover off. Seems like the springs are holding it in. Am I doing
Something wrong? Seems like I am so close to getting it.

Re: Vintage or New when buying a Rickenbacker?
I actually ended up getting me a brand new one. 2010 4003 Jetglo. Got it from the fine folks at Guitar Emporium in Louisville, Kentucky for a sweet price of $1750. Vintage or New when buying a Rickenbacker?
I am in the market for a used or new 4003 Rickenbacker bass in either Jetglo or Fireglo, haven't decided which color yet. Either way, I know I am gonna spend $1500 to $2000 on one. In your opinion is a person better off going with a brand new 2010 for $2000 or looking around for a deal and possibly ...

Re: Vox AC15/Vox Valvetronix - good amps?
Just to be a contrarian....
Modelling amps are very versatile, so if you are going to be playing a lot of genres, the Valvtronix is worthy of consideration.
If you're more into one sound, then an AC15 is a great thing, but make sure it's the sound you're after!
that's a good point. i will try a ...
