sergio did a masterly job rewinding for me ... it sounds

Get different size small flat washers with holes large enough to let the tailpiece mounting screws to go through. I don't know how the metric sizes are over there, but somewhere around 8mm to 15mm diameter or so. Then you stack them in the tailpiece's wood routing area where the 3 screws under the ...

Looks like she is still in nice shape. About the pickup - I would ohm right at the pickup between the connection at the screw eyelet and the center of the coax lead - you need to get into the black shrink wrap covering where the coax black wire joins the lead out of the pickup. Should be around 8k ...

just a quick one for everyone, i ordered some parts via
ricsrus on monday and they arrived today ... cant argue
with that! the communication i had was very quick and
fast ... am pretty impressed thus far!

Dan,
I asked the guys at Ricsrus (now rickysounds) for a recommended Rick luthier and they gave me the number for Bob Barry who did set ups etc.for them.
He is in Birmingham (er the Midlands one you guys...not the one WAAY down South!) which is a bit of a trek from Manchester but I went ahead and ...

apart from several screws im after, rosetti dont carry the stuff im looking for ...
has anyone got any rick authorized suggestions available to some in the uk?

Do you still need the 4 screws to hold the jackplate? I am placing an order to RIC and can get them if you still need them.

Hi Danny - I can't offer the same level of sage advice as many of the other members here - but don't freak out, I doubt you'll do your bass any harm! As far as glue's concerned, just avoid using really heavy-duty stuff & the likes of Superglue - remember that nuts can wear & may need to be removed ...
