Keywind replacement ??
I'm looking to replace the RIC vintage deluxe keywinds on my 1998, 360 V64 six-string. Which do I order, #00564 (Short S) or #00565 (Long SE)? My existing keywinds have an annoying amount of "play" or sloppiness when tuning.

Re: Set up problems
I concur with Kris Lyons. Also, sometimes adjacent saddles bind against each other, which makes it hard to move the saddles. If this happens, take a screw driver and push against the broadside of the saddle in the direction you're trying to move the saddle. This should release any binding that can o...

Re: Compressors
I have a MXR Super Comp (the charcoal-gray one), and it sounds fine with my 360/12 C63......but if I really want to nail the jingle-jangle thing, I grab my 370/12 RM with the on-board compressor....IMHO, nothing really compairs.

Re: 620 FG with a golden touch.
I couldn't resist the request. I had an extra set of 12K Toasters and decided to install them. Love the tone...fabulous clean sound and they overdrive very nicely as well. Can the Vintage tuners be installed and, once installed, will they hide the screw hole from the Schaller tuners? The 620 is a fa...

Ah, yes. Toasters would top it off just fine. I've an extra set of 12K Toasters...just might give them a try on this one.

Re: What's YOUR attraction to Ricks?
The Rickenbacker guitar attraction factor is directly proportional to it's unique sound, exceptional esthetics, superb craftsmanship, excellent playability, and, quite simply, it's WOW factor.

Re: 2010 Color of the Year is....
Wouldn't this be cool (a little photo editing involved)? The fingerboard would most likely have to be maple instead of rosewood to get it to stain turquoise.

Re: From my cold dead hands
I don't know, Ron. Eventhough a recent RM sold for $8,000 plus on eBay, I'm just too attached to mine to part with it. The sentimental value definitely outweighs the monetary value. And to think I only paid $1350 ! (I bought it used at a local music store in my area in 1993.....my guitar is a 1990 m...

Re: From my cold dead hands
My beloved 370/12 RM (my first RIC) will stay with me, barring any unforseen emergency.

Re: 360WB, model year 1988
For the most part, I agree with Kris. The 12-saddle bridge should not be necessary. However, I have achieved better intonation on the 11th and 12th strings (low E string pairs) on my 360/12 RM and 660/12 TP, which both happen to have a 12-saddle bridge as standard issue. I don't have to "cheat&...

Re: 620/12 -versus- 360/12
Gotta try the TI flatwounds on your RIC 12 string. I have them on my 370/12 RM, and they're the real deal! They not only sound great, they play great.

I took a photo of the entire guitar to show the gold TRC.
