Re: FireGlo or Amber FireGlo ?

It's AFG. The yellowed fret markers and binding prove it.

Re: 1997 Rose Morris Model

I have one of these guitars, also. I also have a 330 VP. Subtle differences in overall feel - the 1997's neck feels a bit thinner, compared to the slightly chunkier 330. I don't have specs on each guitar; the bodies feel very similar, but the F hole on the 1997 gives it some added visual appeal. Tha...

Re: Shades of Fireglo

Lots of variations with FireGlo over the years: Pink centers, orange centers, yellow centers, dark red edges and light pink centers (affectionately known as "ClownGlo") reddish Brown, neutral "buff" centers, etc....FireGlo has seen 'em all over the years. I just sold a 2005 360/1...

Re: Rickenbacker Guitars:Out of the Frying Pan into the Fireglo

6 weeks since payment - hasn't arrived yet.

Question: Peter's opener to this thread mentions that the history and photos go from 1931 to 2000. Is that it? No "Color of the Year" selections from the early-mid 2,000's? No Walnut, 1993 Plus, 5-string bass models?

I hope he's wrong.

It's not on Amazon (yet). Publishing date is October 2021

The publisher is Phantom Books, based in the UK. You can register for presale on their website.

It looks good!

That's a Beauty!

Love how the shading is ambered, and not pink.

Enjoy!

Re: How do you get your Rickenbacker’s appraised for insuran

Most policies cover musical instruments for in-home collections only - if you're a working musician, your instruments aren't covered for theft or damage.

Heritage Insurance covers it all. Highly recommended.

Two solo gigs down (Thursday and Friday) and one more to go on Saturday.

This weeks arsenal is a Martin D42 for 2 sets, and my 330/12 VP for one set, which included Hotel California, Lucky Man, If I Needed Someone,
Wish You Were Here, Turn the Page.

Re: 84 Rickenbscker V64. Advice Welcome!

Cool Guitar.

A 21-fret, toastered, square-heeled, trapezed, unbound sound hole, with a very unusual FireGlo pattern.

Let the games begin!

Late to the party, but two gigs (Thursday and Friday), featuring a 12-string set with my 1993 Plus MapleGlo.

They both went well.

Re: New Jetglo 360! But…did I get a bad fretboard?

That's the right move, Richard. Every time you held the 360, that blemish would haunt you.

Let your dealer fight with RIC about returning it. It shouldn't have left the factory with such an obvious flaw.

Good for you. Enjoy the 330 (and yes, the pickups are the same as the 360's).

Re: New Jetglo 360! But…did I get a bad fretboard?

Suit yourself, but I think you're letting RIC and your dealer off easy if you keep it; it's an imperfect guitar, and it's noticeable.

Kinda like having the Prom Queen with a big pimple on her nose. I'd swap it for a 330, but that's just my opinion. Be happy with your decision.
