Rick hardcase flightworthy?
Anyone have experience checking their Rick in the standard hard case that they come with? I've got a 2008 660/12. The case seems pretty solid to me, but I don't want to take any chances. Thanks.

New Vox Amp Construction
I recently played through a new Vox AC15 and was very pleased with the sound. I've always loved Vox amps, have played through older British made AC30s, but have never been able to afford them. I have three silver face Fenders - a Champ, a Deluxe Reverb, and a Bassman - all of which I love. One of ...

Re: Factory set up
I suppose I'm wondering if I get a set of D'addarios for 12 string if it's going to make a major change in the sound. I've only had this 12 for about a month or so and just broke my first string!

Any recommendations for a substitute that's comparable if I can't find Ricks?

Factory set up
Anyone know what gauge/make strings Rickenbacker uses to set up 12-strings before they leave the factory?

Re: how many 660/12's?
at the time I found a number of them available in stores, but it appears that Rick had just done a run of them. In another few months those will probably have dried up,
I think they just did a run of them recently too. The stores I found that had 660/12's to sell had just gotten them at the ...

Re: how many 660/12's?
Yeah, I saw that Mapleglo at Rudy's. That's one place in NYC I was referring to in the original post. The salesman there told me they waiting 1 1/2 years for it. Anyway, I bought it from Pittsburgh Guitars and had it shipped, since their price was much better than Rudy's.

how many 660/12's?
I just bought a new 660/12, my second Rickenbacker (I bought a 330/6 in the late '80s). It was remarkably hard to track this one down. I live in NYC and there appears to be ONE store in the whole city that had ONE 660/12 for sale. I realize stores wait years to get them in.
