Jason, thanks for sharing that lovely video. Watched the original song after yours. Nice discovery and I really have to say you nailed it. I like that 70ies Stevie Wonder Innervisions vibe. Tasteful instrumentation and nice presentation as well. Gotta love the Fender Rhodes and the Arp solo fits nic...

Re: Limited Editions?
Just noticed that I'm a little late to the party and this is quite an "old" model.
Still new to me and it succeeds to look modern in a very traditional way.

Re: McCartney - strings on Rain?
Can't go wrong with TI's. I have them for years on three of my basses, a Jazz, a Guild B-302 and a 4001V63. They sound lovely, they last long and with the right settings they match the Macca tone very well. As a finger player I also like their smooth touch. Just try them and save big time on the lon...

Re: New basses
Innovation ist always welcome but this mishmash of new components and old style PG and controls doesn’t look very convincing to me. Maybe it would have been better to improve the 4004 series or even come up with a whole new model. The 4001/4003 is one of the most iconic designs of the 20th century. ...

Re: Geddy Lee shares a look at his bass room
Geddy Lee has some great vintage basses there.
I would love to take a peek in that room and try some of his stuff.
Thanks for posting that video!

New 4001V63 - need help
I recently purchased a lovely 1997 4001V63 in Mapleglo. It is a wonderful instrument with a nice warm tone and beautiful wood figuring. I really love my MID 4003 but this new bass is really a dream come true. I know you guys like pictures so voilà: 4001V63_sm.jpg You can also find her in the registe...
