Re: Hinge For Rickenbacker Case

Oh there are more than one !
All my "new" Rickenbacker's are SKB so I thought that was the way they all were these days.

Hinge For Rickenbacker Case

Hi there
I have a '99 330/12 where one of the hinges is loose. I can't figure out how the hinges are mounted, there are no obvious screws anywhere.
Does anybody know anything about this ?

Re: Taller Grommets ?

Hi everybody who replied
The problem was never replacing Hi gains, it was that the 12K toasters surprisingly is a little lower (not output but height) than the 7.4 K which made them sound lower (in output) than the 7.4 Ks. I wanted to raise them more than the grommets could handle and therefore ...

Re: Taller Grommets ?

Thanks for the replies.
The guitar came with hi gains and therefore foam rings. The pickups I have on now is the 12K toasters and they seem to be a little lower than the current vintage style 7Ks.
The problem with the grommets is not with the ones that sits on the middle screws (height adjustment ...

Taller Grommets ?

Hi there
I have two Rics both with toasters. For some reason the ones on my 360 seem a little lower than my 330.
It may have something to do with the ones on the 360 are the 12K and the other ones are the newer reissues.
I have already tried it out and it does improve the sound significantly but ...

Re: The Dreaded 330 or 360 Dilemma

I have a 330/12 and a 360/6. My son has a 620 which he by the way mainly bought because he loved blue colour that they make it with......It has to be noted in his defense that he also has a Tele and a Les Paul and the 620 is now his main guitar.
Having the 620 around I changed to the 7.4K toasters ...

Sergio Silva Where Are You

I have been trying to get in contact with Sergio Silva for a while without any luck. I was very close to buying a set of 12K toasters from him but then he strangely disappeared. Now I am starting to worry if he's alright.
I am one of those mentioned in an earlier thread who would be interested in ...

Re: 2009 Rickenbacker 360/12 Action

It certainly sounds like the trussrods need some tweaking. I have a 360/6, a 330/12 and a 620/6 and all of them have incredible action. I have many guitars, it's not all Rics, and usually Rics are very easy to set up because of the double trussrods.

Re: 12K Toasters Anywhere?

I will check it out. It's just that the pickups are very expensive already so to buy a new set and instantly send them to be modified seem a little extravagant although I just may do it anyway :)

Re: 12K Toasters Anywhere?

Thanks for the replies so far
Adding bass on the amp doesn't help in this kind of situation. The sound is too airy and the single strings lack a bit of definition, perfect for 12 string, but not enough beef I find. Another issue is also that running it through analogue gear like a Space Echo or a ...

12K Toasters Anywhere?

Hi
I have a 360 which was born with higains but I recently switched to the new(ish) 7.4K toasters. While I like the sound a lot I do miss the low end from the higains. I suppose that the older 12K toasters would probably be the ultimate solution. Does anybody know if these are ever for sale ...

Messing with my 360 and 620

Hi this particular post is not really a question, more a statement or testdrive of something I have tried out recently and something I had a little trouble googling so In would just like to put my thoughts on this for others to read. Of course these are just my thoughts and should not be seen as ...
